“Embracing Your Whole Self: Akashic Tools for Shadow Self Integration!”

Your Shadow Self is a part of you that holds all the hidden aspects of your personality – the parts you might try to ignore or keep buried. It can include things like:

  • Uncomfortable emotions like anger, sadness, jealousy, fear.
  • Undesirable traits that could include stubbornness, impatience, neediness.
  • Unfulfilled desires like becoming a musician or the traveler you haven’t been.

Think of it like the basement of your personality.
There might be some things down there that are messy or even scary, but there’s also hidden potential and forgotten treasures.

Here’s the key: The shadow self isn’t bad, it’s just hidden. When we ignore it, it can control us from the shadows, leading to negative thoughts and behaviors.

By exploring your Shadow Self with your Akashic Records, you can understand it better and then bring those hidden parts into the light. This can lead to greater self-acceptance, more fulfilling relationships, and a stronger sense of who you truly are!

Have you ever considered asking your Records . . .

  • What part(s) of my Shadow Self currently hold me back and why?
  • What strengths are hidden within this part of my Shadow Self that I could welcome as benefits for me now?
  • How could we begin to work together in a positive and supportive way for us both?

Demystifying the Akashic Records

Before we delve deeper into the topic of Shadow Self from the Akashic perspective, let’s review what the Akashic Records are. The Akashic Field (the term I prefer) is the energetic reservoir of your Soul’s experiences throughout all lifetimes. Within this sacred database – the wisdom of your Soul – you also can access higher aspects of yourself, such as your Shadow Self, Archetypes, Angels, Guides, and the Divine.

Some ideas to consider about the Shadow Self in Midlife . . .

The Shadow Self can manifest differently in midlife. Women in this age group may be dealing with empty nests, career transitions, or facing their own mortality. These experiences can trigger shadow aspects related to fear of aging, feeling invisible, or unfulfilled dreams.

Don’t be afraid of engaging with aspects like the above. From countless personal experiences, I’ve seen how the Akashic Records provide a safe and supportive space to explore your greatest fears and issues. The Records can also offer you insights into past life experiences or ancestral patterns that contribute to shadow aspects.

If you don’t know where to begin, you can use the questions at the beginning of this post to prompt you to ask your Records questions that will help reveal hidden aspects of yourself that have been longing for recognition.

Once you’ve discovered a Shadow Self that you’d love to understand more deeply, then have a journaling conversation with it to discover what triggers that part of you.

To integrate shadow aspects into a more whole and empowered self might involve releasing limiting beliefs, embracing previously hidden strengths, or forgiveness. (You might like to read my May 2024 post titled How to Experience Forgiveness Through Your Akashic Records.)

Shadow work with the Akashic Records is a journey of self-discovery and empowerment, not a battle against darkness.

  • Deep into my inwardly focused experience of covid in 2020, I wrote this Akashic Inspiration Post – Welcoming Your Shadow Self in Our Time of Quiet!

In it, I share how my Records helped me find what I called my
Top 10 List – Shadow parts of myself that I’d rejected when I was about 7 years old. After working with them for a bit, I asked my Records for a ritual that could welcome and integrate all these Shadow parts. It was a wonderful and powerful ceremony that is available to adapt to your own requirements!

Akashic Explorations: “Shadow Self” card from the Akashic Illumination Deck.

Records of the Akashic Illumination Deck share about this card

Shadow Self

Researchers from Jung onwards have shown it is possible to reject parts of ourselves at a very young age because from that undeveloped perspective we don’t recognize the value of all our aspects. These parts of self can include personality traits, emotions, thoughts – anything that is difficult to accept.

The prompt when this card is drawn is to explore an aspect of yourself that you denied – what you’d rather not be or what is not functioning optimally.

With assistance from your Records and the Divine, meet with this part of yourself. If needed, discover what happened to create this shut off or malfunctioning part of you. When you feel ready, request Divine Direct Action to initiate the divinely guided clearing and healing process this part of you can most benefit from receiving.

A Shadow Self – for example being fearful – when understood and embraced, can possibly even become helpful inner confidence. Thus working with a Shadow Self can illuminate it to become one of your greatest personal assets.

Since a Shadow Self, like an Archetype, is part of you – do not send it away. Instead work with it to discover how you can best work together.

Recommended Akashic Alliance™ Facilitators

NOTE: My own Records recently invited me to open my calendar to a few select monthly clients after a break of three years while I was co-creating the Akashic Illumination Deck!

Therefore, if you have a strong desire to undertake a deeper exploration of your Akashic Records with my expertise to guide you during a package of 5 or 10 Akashic sessions (see turquoise bars towards the bottom of the page) then begin by booking your Discovery Call with me. During each session, you’ll join me in a facilitated experience with your Records so you can personally experience working directly with them.

If you’d rather begin with just a single session, I highly recommend my experienced Akashic Alliance™ Facilitators. All are my graduates and would be happy to introduce you to your Records. Extra Bonus: All are also experienced in incorporating the Akashic Illumination Deck with clients.

I invite you to have a look at their websites if one is available, or reach out to any of these excellent facilitators for a Discovery Call. I happily work with any of them whenever I feel I’d like extra energy in the Records or a fresh approach to a complicated topic.
