I hope this post finds you feeling refreshed after the Thanksgiving holiday so you can welcome the remaining opportunities 2021 brings to you!
As I’m becoming more mature, I’ve become better at honoring my body’s increased need for a slower pace. Therefore, I start big projects earlier so I can include the rest times I now require.
What have you learned about how to best navigate the holidays for yourself?
Here’s my holiday tiny story:
OLD STORY: As she had for years, she raced around completing the unending list of last-minute things that had to be done for her business – saying yes to everything that clamored for her attention. Already tired, she got up early to clean, polish, vacuum, and decorate. Then she grocery shopped for all the holiday delicacies and got up early again to cook everything and carve the turkey. By the time everyone arrived on the big day – she was hot and exhausted. Her back felt like it would break. She fervently wished everyone would just go away so she could shut her bedroom door and lay down for the afternoon. The remainder of the time before she went back to work slid by in a blur.
NEW STORY: Months before the holiday, she created extra space in her calendar – even more time than she thought she would require – and gifted herself with some downtime afterwards. Instead of creating an Akashic “Black Friday” special and responding to all the inquires it would produce, she energetically blessed her clients and students while enjoying her holiday preparations. Resolutely, she ignored the tsunami of “must have” discounted spiritual marketing emails that continually poured into her inbox. Thanksgiving Day she welcomed her family and friends to her sparkling home with gratitude and joy. They all sat down together to enjoy the beautiful dinner they’d helped prepare. She felt grateful that everyone was healthy and life was good. After her last guests said their goodbyes on Saturday, she enjoyed putting her home back in order and had some lovely quiet time. The result – she truly enjoyed all aspects of the holiday, and happily returned to work – refreshed and filled with magical memories.
If you too would like to create a special ceremony to celebrate the upcoming end of this year, you might be inspired by this recent CNN op-ed article. I thank the author, Joshua M. Davidson, for sharing his ideas for a non-traditional celebration of Hanukkah He’s given me some bright ideas for a very relevant new way to celebrate the end of 2021.
Brought up Catholic, I grew up with a love of ceremony. These days to mark special occasions, I enjoy accessing my Akashic Records, draping myself in a beautiful scarf, lighting candles, burning my favorite incense, and co-creating my own heart-felt prayers with my Records. These are some of the elements I bring into the Akashic ceremonies I now create that bring me closer to the Divine and the world I am choosing to create. The result? Each year I experience greater inner peace – regardless of what’s happening around me.
How are you planning to celebrate the end of another challenging year? Since it can be hard to shift gears and welcome the different energies of a new year, I’d love to hear your ideas in the comments field below!
If you’ve never had an in-depth Akashic Session, would this be the time to reach out to one of the many professional facilitators now available? Or is it perhaps time now to learn how to tap into your Akashic Records or dive deeper to learn to access the Records of Others?
My life work now is teaching the three tiers of Akashic Records Trainings brought through by the Akashic AllianceTM. I invite you to consider if the Records have an important role to play in your continuing transformation. New Modules A and B Zoom trainings will be announced for early 2022. I’d love to have you join us and travel the Akashic Way!
Till next time,
Radiance and Love –

I have often wondered why folks run around “like a chicken with his head cut off “just prior to Thanksgiving or Christmas when they have had a year to prepare. It is no secret that it comes the same time every year. Maybe the frenzy is just part of their tradition…curious?
I know for me, dear Sherry, it’s how the rest of the year used to be for me – always in a hurry, never having enough time – too many commitments with family and work. That’s why it’s so nice with maturity to stop packing so much in so I can actually enjoy what I am doing! I do think that frenzy did become part of the package for me. It takes time to stop and work out a new approach when things aren’t going well.
December used to always make me grouchy, because….people. I think COVID Times reinforced the idea of what is important to me: home & family. So I don’t go out much, and do online shopping. The few times I go out serves to remind me of this (like yesterday, SUCH a good reminder!)
Another tradition we started (which they do in Iceland, I understand) is that we exchange books as presents. Not that any of us are even interested in presents anymore, but the thought of gifted books to read makes the whole family happy, and makes this a happy month.
Lovely newsletter! I really appreciate your insights. Happy Holidays to all.
Dear Lisa: Almost nothing beats a great new book as a special gift for me – to give and receive. I think this is a great tradition and probably wonderful for Iceland where I imagine the winters are long and cold. How wonderful to stay home, read all your new books, and wait for Spring! Thanks for letting me know you enjoy these Akashic Inspirations. Love – Sandra
Our session together made a huge difference in my life Sandra and I will never forget you for that. You have allowed me to get past the loss of my mother at an early age and helped me make sense of it all. Many times I have wanted to go further, however, I know you are trying to rest and teach and may not be doing private sessions anymore, so I don’t bother you with it. You and I may be about the same age and health, so I suspect I can identify with what is possible and what is just too much to ask. I truly hope you are feeling well and I’m glad you didn’t try to run yourself into the ground, by taking it easier now. Much love to you, Linda E.
Dear Linda: So lovely to hear from you again! Yes – my focus is now training others in the 3 levels of Akashic trainings that I offer through the Akashic Alliance and two other creative projects with the Records. However, that doesn’t mean that you can’t have another session with one of my excellent and competent Akashic Facilitators! I’ve been getting great feedback from my clients who have moved on to one of my recommended facilitators and have been happy they’ve done so. I’ll send you information through email. Meanwhile – best wishes for 2022! Love – Sandra
This was so perfect Sandira! Sometime this past year I felt the gears shifting for me towards making more time, by committing to less, even though that meant saying “no” to things I have enjoyed. It was a revelation to be able to say “no” and the world didn’t stop:) I am grateful to be able to work from home, but that used to make me feel that I needed to be productive. I also love to read and this has been my most recent “luxury”….holding a book in my hands and reading! Thank you always for your insights and inspiration! Reading your Akashic Inspirations are like a wonderful spiritual hug! Thank you! Wendy
Thank you dear Wendy for your sweet note. Love it that these Akashic Inspirations feel like a “wonderful spiritual hug” to you! I do find it fascinating to discover each month what they’d like me to write about and how to do it. Usually I have no idea until I open the Akashic Inspiration group Records and ask – and then it all comes. I love writing with the Akashic Records to support me! Happy Hols – Love – Sandra
I love this post! Thank you for sharing this. It gave me some good food for thought about how I am approaching the holidays right now (at break neck speed) and the need to slow down and PAUSE. Then I can remember my “why” in the first place.
Yes, Gina, I can so relate! It’s been a blessing to finally recognize in many areas of my life that less and slower is best for me right now. I think family and friends enjoy time with me more too when I’m more relaxed and present. The more I step off that “fast train”, the ore I realize that I do NOT want to live that way any more. May your holidays be sweet and delightful for you this year as you do find your “why” and then act on it. With my love – Sandra
