When you read this month’s post, I’ll be in a rather idyllic place . . .
My holiday flat in Canterbury, England.
Laundry half done. Suitcase open.
Preparing to fly home tomorrow.
And reflecting on something that still makes me smile:
What happens when you say yes . . . and let the Divine take over.
If you read last month’s post, “Trusting Your Inner Guidance: A Real Akashic Case Story!”, you know I said yes to work at a retreat at a country farm in Portugal.
What I didn’t know then . . .
was that the Divine had quietly stepped in as my travel agent.
For years, I’ve preferred crossing the Atlantic by ship rather than flying.
So naturally, I went looking for a cruise to Lisbon.
Nothing.
Wrong dates. Wrong routes. Nothing aligned.
Finally, I did something different.
I made a simple request to the Divine,
then stopped searching.
A few weeks later, I casually opened a travel newsletter.
Scrolled to the bottom.
And there it was.
One transatlantic sailing.
Perfect dates. Perfect route.
Miami to Lisbon.
Twelve days. Bermuda. The Azores.
I blinked. Then I booked.
(Oceania, a luxury line I’d never even considered.)
Arrival? The exact day the retreat begins.
Of course.
After the retreat, the next “obvious” step was London.
My son Jay has lived there for years, and suddenly, I would be just a short flight away.
So here I am.
Staying in a lovely flat in Canterbury . . .
taking long, indulgent baths . . .
and hopping on the train to visit with my son.
Just when I thought the magic might pause . . .
The September Retreat return trip quietly began organizing itself.
This time with flights to and from Lisbon.
A private villa near the Retreat.
A pool shared with only one other villa.
Three very social Siamese cats.
A solo pilgrimage to Fátima to join others praying for world peace.
A quiet nest to rest in before and after the intensity of the Retreat work.
And for my final three days, the easiest, most perfect downtown Lisbon apartment, found almost instantly (which never happens). Jay will meet me there so we can explore Lisbon together.
I get to be with him twice in one year.
That alone feels like a miracle.
I may have done a happy dance.
And I thank my husband for taking great care of our home while I’m away.
Looking back, I can see it so clearly.
None of this came from effort.
It came from:
- Saying yes
- Letting go
- Trusting what I was guided toward
And allowing something far wiser than me to arrange the details.
So I’ll ask you this . . .
Where are you looking for a little magic?
What might open,
if you softened, trusted, and allowed yourself to be led?
Before closing, I asked the Akashic Illumination Deck:
“What card would best support us all — wherever we’re traveling this month?”
The answer: “Divine Grace”
A reminder that there is a constant, flowing support available to you.
Not something you earn.
Something you receive.
Something you allow.
And from where I sit right now . . .
I can say with absolute certainty:
This entire journey has been an ever-flowing fountain of Divine Grace.
May your travels, across the world or within yourself,
be filled with grace, ease, wonder, and a little unexpected magic.
